The lighter porcelain containers are a bit harder to achieve in the soda fired reduction atmosphere. A lovely surprise to find and reminds me of moonlit nights in the woods. Red British soldier lichen, orange slime molds and trumpet lichen gather close underneath the fungi.
Lined in a speckled, shiny green/blue glaze.
These ceramics are handmade with Bclay (porcelain/stoneware mix) and soda fired to 2300 degrees. Surface cracks are created by using a special drying technique. Each piece is one of a kind.
